Rosemary Howard

Centuries ago, a boggan by the name of Rosaira pledged herself in service to House Liam when she was not much more than a girl. She had garnered the attention of the noble house for her industrious nature in the preservation of knowledge, history, and fae treasures, and for possessing enough courage to step outside the lands of the Dreaming to search for them. Rosaira accepted the offer and made the oath, having long admired the house's devotion to protecting dreamers, and hoping that her work would prove useful in keeping their charges out of harm's way. Where most boggans, even those in House Liam, were relegated to servants, Rosaira found herself in the position of a chronicler, tasked with the responsibility of both tomes and treasures. Some benign, and many dangerous, and oftentimes it seemed only she knew what was which. For all the sidhe knew of commanding and matters of authority, their skill for organization could be rather lacking, though Rosaira had a knack for devising systems and putting everything in its place. In her downtime, she crafted bookmarks of ribbons and leather and whatever else she had at hand.

When the Shattering fractured the world and plunged it all into banality, Rosaira was but one of the many commoners left behind, much to the dismay of so many loyal boggans who had thought they would serve their houses for eternity. Although cut off from her cozy little repository in the Dreaming, Rosaira managed to muddle her way through this new uncertain world of disillusioned dreamers with the aid of those from House Liam who had stayed behind, loyal to the mortals which they so desired to protect. In time, she began to contribute to an ever-growing group of boggans working on what they called the Changeling Way, a way for the fae to continue on and perhaps bear the burden of a banality-ridden world more easily. When the act of placing fae souls in mortal children proved successful, Rosaira informed those within her rather wide circle (boggans have no shortage of friends and acquaintances after all) before taking on the Way herself. And so began the cycle of birth and rebirth, a single soul weaving in and out of life, always recalling herself in time and continuing on much as she did before. And very often, her path coincided with those she had once known in her original life.

While yet to find her the old repository granted to her by Liam, the boggan archivist, now inhabiting the life of Rosemary Howard, remains working alongside her long-time friend and ally Weylyn. Her duties are much the same, only now she works chiefly out of Kergazots Library, where changelings, mortals, and other supernatural entities alike peruse its contents. It's hardly a bad life, though it seems the number of dreamers sick and cynical with banality grows more with each passing day. The most she, and House Liam can do, is protect their wonder and keep them dreaming. Hopefully, her work as librarian and archivist help in that regard in some small way.

Boon: House Liam exists to stave off the bleak forces of the Autumn World, to ensure everyone is comfortable and cared for and enjoying themselves. They take seriously their ability to reduce the strain on others, and help them keep themselves just a little while longer.
Flaw: Nothing is without a price, and House Liam pays up front. It’s a small price, all told, but a meaningful one.
Exile: Forever fascinated with mortals, this House has long been comfortable in the mortal world. They are always willing to help those less at home, much to the chagrin of those who drove them out.
